To a box that contained 30 pencils 10 out of which were red several more non-red pencils were added. Now 25% of all pencils in t
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The Amount of Non-red pencil which were added to the box = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The number of pencils in a box = 30

The number of red pencils in a box out of 30 = 10

So , the number of Non-red pencils = 30 - 10 = 20

Again let the number of Non-red pencils which added further = x

So, now the amount of total pencil get increase to (30+x)

Among (30+x) pencils in box,25% of them are red ,

I.e The number of red pencils in a box out of (30+x) = 25% of (30+x)

And the number of Non-red pencils = 20 + x

SO, according to question

25% of (30+x) + (20+x) = (30+x)

Or, (20+x) = (30+x) - (25% of (30+x))

Or, 20+x = (30+x) [ 1 -(\frac{25}{100}]

Or,    20+x  = (30+x) ( \frac{3}{4}

Or, 80+4x = 90+3x

or 4x - 3x = 90-80

Or, x = 10

Hence the number of Non-Red pencils in the box which added further = 10 Answer

A certain pizza parlor has 7
different toppings. How many two-
topping pizzas are possible?
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

21

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, so this may be confusing but I’ll explain.

Here is a very simplified diagram:

1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7

2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 2-6, 2-7

3-4, 3-5, 3-6, 3-7

4-5, 4-6, 4-7

5-6, 5-7

6-7

*Note- I did this in about 30 seconds and on my phone so it is very simplified *

Each number, 1-7, is supposed to represent a different ingredient and they are put together to represent the two-ingredient combinations.

For example: 1-2 could represent pepperoni and sausage, and 1-5 could represent pepperoni and olives. This would mean that the 1 represents pepperoni, 2 represents sausage, and 5 represents olives.

If you count the number of combinations in each row, there are 21 combinations. This is because I made sure there are no repeats (2-3 AND 3-2) and because there wouldn’t be any doubles (1-1 or 2-2)

Find the common differrence of the arithmectic sequence 6,9.4,12.8,16.2
defon
Common difference r will be the difference between next two values of number row, so we take e.g. second minus first: r=9.4-6=3.4. You can see, that this value is constant as we go through next pairs of values.
