Using: A^2+b^2=c^2

A&b= (√10)^2=10

10+10=c^2

20=c^2

(take the square root of 20)

c=2√5

Your answer is D

The answer for this question is D, 2\sqrt{5}

We can see that this triangle is a right triangle (because of the box on one of it's angles). In a right triangle, we know that, with a and b being the legs, and c being the hypotenuse, that a² + b² = c². In this case, x is the length of the hypotenuse and \sqrt{10} is the value of both legs.

\sqrt{10}² = 10, and x² = x², meaning that

10 + 10 = x²

x² = 20

To find what x is equal to, we take the positive square root of 20 (the length of a side can't be negative).

x = \sqrt{20}

Now, we can simplify. \sqrt{20} = \sqrt{2²*5} (that's the prime factorization). But, since we see the number 2 two times in this square root, we can factor it out. The simplified form of our answer is:

2\sqrt{5}

Use the Pythagorean Theorem:
 A²+B²=C²
 6²+5²=C²
36+25=C²

Please help, this is for 8th grade math.
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

(2,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to substitute y in the first equation with the right side of the second equation because they both equal to y.

-3x+4 = 4x-10

-3x-4x+4-4 = 4x-4x-10-4

-7x = -14

-7x/-7 = -14/-7

x = 2

Plugin 2 for x for either equation to solve for y, I'll be using the second equation, but either one is fine.

y = 4(2)-10

y = 8-10

y = -2

Plugin x = 2 and y = -2 into (x,y), and you get (2,-2)

The bill for 1 glass of orange juice and 1 pancake special would be:
0.70 + 1.10 = $1.80
