The Quik-Clean Car Wash charges $15 for a car wash plus $2.50 per gallon for unleaded gasoline. The Mighty Clean Car Wash charge
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

Josh would need to purchase 20 gallons of gas for the cost to be the same at each car wash

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to model both car wash's costs. The Quik-Clean Car Wash charges $15 for a car wash plus $2.50 per gallon for unleaded gasoline. If x is the number of gallons of unleaded gasoline. the total charges of this store are:

C1=15+2.5*x

The Mighty Clean Car Wash charges $10 for a carwash plus $2.75 per gallon for unleaded gasoline. Following the same procedure, their costs are:

C2=10+2.75*x

Josh wants to know how many gallons of gas will make both businesses charge the same. Equating both equations:

15+2.5*x=10+2.75*x

Simplifying:

-0.25x=-5

Solving:

x=-5/(-0.25)=20

Josh would need to purchase 20 gallons of gas for the cost to be the same at each car wash

What is the greatest common factor of the terms in the polynomial 8x4 – 4x3 – 18x2? 2x 2x2 4x 4x2.
levacccp [35]

The greatest common factor of the terms in the polynomial \rm 8x^4 - 4x^3 - 18x^2 is \rm 2x^2.

Given

Polynomial; \rm 8x^4 - 4x^3 - 18x^2

Greatest common factor;

The "Greatest Common Factor" is the largest of the common factors (of two or more numbers).

The polynomial is;

\rm 8x^4 - 4x^3 - 18x^2

The coefficients of the terms in this expression are 8, 4, and 18.

The largest number that you can divide all of them with and get a whole number is 2.

So, 2 is part of our greatest common factor.

The exponent of the smallest x term is 2, so x^2 is the other part of our greatest common factor.

Hence, the greatest common factor of the terms in the polynomial \rm 8x^4 - 4x^3 - 18x^2 is \rm 2x^2.

2. the scale factor is x= 4.5 cm
this is because when u see how much it dilated from 4cm to 2cm it divided from 2, so if u did the same for the other number. Which is 9, it’s 9/2 which equals 4.5

angle A is a compliment of angle b and m angle b = (6-5x) degrees and m angle a =(7-2x)degrees find m angle a
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

61

Step-by-step explanation:

A + B = 90

6 - 5x + 7 - 2x = 90

13 - 7x = 90

- 7x = 90 - 13

- 7x = 77

- x = 77 / 7

x = - 11

A: 6 - (5 * - 11) = 6 + 55 = 61

B: 7 - (2 * -11) = 7 + 22 = 29

Together they equal 90 as they should.
