Lady Warrior is the character archetype which is defined as a strong, capable, intelligent woman who may disguise herself as a man.
In history, literature and cultural studies, mythology, film studies and in folklore, women have been portrayed in a number of characters. Not only the women are portrayed in their womanly characteristics but are presented as the symbol of fierceness, bravery, fighting in the war and with aggression and violence in a masculine way. Chinese and Japanese martial art films are one of the examples of the portrayal of women as brave as the men. Women warriors are also taken as a symbol of women empowerment as this focuses on the power and capacity of a woman who can do anything which a male had been performing.
