This is called role strain. A role as defined by sociologist is the particular expectations of behaviors and obligations towards a person. A person may perform multiple roles at the same time, like being a daughter and a student, as well as a sister. With that role strain happens when a person has a hard time keeping up with the expectations. Like as a student, you are expected to excel, however, this causes stress as the pressure increases, either internally or externally.

Why do you think some sociologists feel American Society is becoming more secular?
saw5 [17]

Answer:  The reason that this is an important argument is because the United States is a secular society, which means that the social structure is not based on or tied to any one particular religion. In sociology, the process by which a society moves away from a religious framework or foundation is known as secularization.

If a peer reads your story and asks you where the second half of the story takes place, what should you add to your story?
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

C, details that help readers visualize the settings better. A wouldn't work because it doesn't help the setting, B doesn't help the setting either and D would only add more confusion so UT would have to be C by process of elimination.

Scilla [17]
The answer is C. keep enough strength in the senate to protect southern interests

Back then, Slavery is almost a way of life of southerners.Back then, the productions amount in northern part of USA is way more than the south. And the Northerners did that without slavery

In 1808 , the congress abolished slave trading with Africa, making the economic difference between the south and north separated  even further

In order to protect their own interest, they want slavery to extend to the north so they have enough strength in the senate to protect its legality
