The tropical climate zones of the region produce both rain forests and the tree-dotted grasslands known as savannas. Rain forests are abundant in Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. However, the weather can vary from country to country, and some countries have multiple climate zones.  Central America is the isthmus that connects North America to South America. Savanna grassy lands inn south america experiences high temperature but receives wet precipitation.
