Which of the following rules was NOT part of the Alien and Sedition Acts? In 1798 and 1799, ten people were convicted under the

Sedition Act. Under the Sedition Act, it became a crime to say anything critical of the government. Freedom of the press was increased by the Sedition Act. Under the Alien Act, immigrants had to wait 14 years before they could become U.S. citizens.

I'm pretty sure the "freedom of the press was increased by the Sedition Act" is not a part of them since the Sedition Acts deprived people of their freedom of speech rights since they did not allow anyone to criticize the government

Why was it essential for the bill of rights to be addded to the constitution?-help please
ivann1987 [24]

Without the bill of rights, there would be no established set of rights given to the people. Without it, there would be no precedent for the rights of the people, and thus the rights of the people could be bent to whatever the people in power wanted.
