Applying a scale factor means by definition to multiply the lengths of the segments by the scale factor. If the scale factor is larger than 1, we call it a dilation.

Now, we get that AB has a length of 1.5 cm; applying the scale factor yields a new segment with 2 new endpoints that has a length of A'B'=3 cm = 1.5cm*2

Similarly, we get that since PQ=2 cm, P'Q'=2cm*2=4cm and finally since MN=3 cm, M'N'=6 cm.

vodomira [7]
The answer is 8 choices.

To calculate this, a multiplication rule is used. The multiplication rule calculates the probability that both of two events will occur. In this method, the possibilities of each event are multiplied.

We have three events occurring together:

1. Orlando has 2 options: to wear either navy blue or black.

2. Orlando has 2 options: to wear a coat with short or long tail.

3. Orlando has 2 options: to wear a solid or striped cummerbund.

Using the multiplication rule, the number of choices is multiplied, thus he has in total 8 options:

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The addition of angles ABD and DBC make up the larger angle ABC. We know that angle ABD = 65 and DBC = 60, therefore

angle ABC = 65 + 60 and

angle ABC = 125 degrees

A 95% confidence interval for a population mean is computed from a sample of size 400. Another 95% confidence interval will be computed from a sample of size 100 drawn from the same population. Choose the best answer to fill in the blank: The interval from the sample of size 400 will be approximately _______as the interval from the sample of size 100.
