Answer:
The sectors affected by migration are:
- Housing - One of the biggest problems facing cities that of limited housing for migrants. Migrants are often in demand for adequate and affordable housing. This is often a short supply of this.
- Education and employment - with the spike in immigration, there is a direct impact on the availability of schools at the primary level that can take children of immigrants. Studies have shown that immigration from outside the EU may have an undesired effect on the ability of jobs for those who are born in the UK.
- Health - This sector is also impacted directly by immigration. Many immigrants sooner than later have to utilize medical facilities and medical care.
- Transportation - As the population of a city grows, the transportation system is also impacted directly as more and more people need to move around. In some cities, this may (if not properly managed) lead to traffic issues, an increase in the rate at which roads get damaged and need to be repaired etc.
- Utilities - Immigration also put a lot of strain on the demand and supply water, telecommunications, energy and other utilities.
- Safety and security - Safety and security apparatuses are also affected. The ratio of policemen to citizens, for instance, is increased.
Cheers!
