Answer:

AEROBIC RESPIRATION

ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION

Explanation:

Oxygen is the final electron acceptor in aerobic respiration so that the  steep gradient needed for the progression of Electron transport chain(ETC) will progress, to generate Proton Motive Force(PMF), for pumping protons across the intramemebranes. The influx of protons produce energy for ATPs synthase synthesis of ATP. Thus oxygen is not available to accept electon to form water with protons, the ETC will stop, chemiosomosis will stop, and aerobic respiration will seize.

However  in anerobic respiration, pyruvate or alcohol must accept electrons so that NAD+ could  be freed and returned to Glycolysis for anaerobic respiration to progress.

Compound of Sulphate may also be  used.

Answer: a. Aerobic respiration, b. Anaerobic respiration.

Explanation: Oxygen is an essential component for aerobic respiration because it is at the end of the electron transport chain, where it accepts electrons and picks up protons to give out water.

The final acceptor of electrons in the electron transport chain during aerobic respiration is oxygen.

The final electron acceptor in the Anaerobic respiration are inorganic molecules such as sulfates. Inorganic molecules are used rather than Oxygen.

What happens if the pressure in an angler fish habitat decreases
patriot [66]
If you are referring to selection pressure, when the selection pressure decreases, there will be weaker forces of natural selection. The angler fishes without the favourable traits would not be that strongly selected against and vice versa. In some cases such as predation selection pressure, the population of angler fishes in the habitat may increase

30. One cause of muscle soreness is
xenn [34]

Answer:

c. lactic acid fermentation

Explanation:

If we did alcoholic fermentation, working out would make us feel drunk, not sore. This is only done by yeasts (a type of fungus) and bacteria. Glycolysis is simply an anaerobic process that occurs with fermentation and also regular aerobic respiration. It doesn't cause any soreness on its own. The Krebs cycle is the second major part to cellular respiration; it produces 6 NADH's, 2 FADH2's, 4 CO2's and 2 ATP; it's not involved in creating any soreness, as cell respiration does not create soreness. That leaves lactic acid fermentation, which we, bacteria, yeasts, and other organisms do. This is what we do when we run out of ample oxygen while doing some strenuous activity. Glycolysis is done with it. Glycolysis, however, relies on NAD+ to create ATP we need to maintain the same level of activity, lactic acid is produced as it accepts the 2 electrons and [H+] NAD+  should accept.
