Traditional media has been replaced by new technologies in the sense that not nearly as many people will pay for a newspaper anymore, but rather watch the news, or more likely, read articles online. New technology will likely increase voter awareness because more people are becoming accustomed to and growing up with technology, therefore if people are spreading awareness on social media platforms and campaigning, etc. It would help make more people knowledgeable on what elections there are and know about the candidates.
