The answer is : 2x - y + 5
The explanation is given below :
The formula for the equation in point slope form is :
y -y1 = m(x-x1) where m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Using the given points we have the values , y1 =1 , y2=13. , x1= -2 , x2 = 4

Thus putting the values ;
y-1 = (13-1)/4-(-2) [x-(-2)]
Y-1 = 12/6(x+2)
Y-1=2(x+2)
Y-1 = 2x +4
Taking the value on the right side ,
0= 2x-y+5
And thus the required equation
Hope it is well understood to you !

Answer:

y - 13 = 2(x - 4).

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope =  (y2 - y1)/ (x2 - x1)

Here y2 = 13, y1 = 1, s2 = 4 and x1 = -2.

The slope = (13 - 1)/ ( 4 - -2)

= 12/6

= 2.

Point slope form is

y - y1 = m(x - x1) where m = slope (= 2) and we take the point (4, 13) for

(x1, y1):

y - 13 = 2(x - 4)  is the required equation.

Which of the following equations could be solved for a radius? Select all that apply.
zalisa [80]

Answer:

A = π · (r²)

Step-by-step explanation:

A =π · r² is the area of a circle.

While π · r² · h can also give you the radius, it can only do so for the Volume V, not the Area A.

V=lwh doesn't really apply for a circular object, as it requires the length and width. For circular objects, both are equal to the diameter of the object, and 2² · r² · h does not equal the Volume.

V= π · r³ seems awfully like the volume of a sphere, but there's something missing. The true volume of a sphere is V=\frac{4}{3} · π · r³, not V= π · r³.

A=\frac{1}{2}*b*h only applies for triangles.

Question :
Elza [17]

Answer:

C) 405.3 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle is a polygon with three angles and three sides. Types of triangle are scalene, isosceles, equilateral, right angled triangle.

Given a triangle with angles A, B, C and the corresponding sides directly opposite to the angles as a, b, c. The sine rule states that:

\frac{a}{sin(A)}= \frac{b}{sin(B)} =\frac{c}{sin(C)}

In the triangle formed by point C, ship B and ship A, we have ∠A = 82°, ∠B = 78°, c = AB = 140 ft. Hence:

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180° (sum of angles in a triangle)

82 + 78 + ∠C = 180

∠C + 160 = 180

∠C = 20°

Using sine rule:

\frac{c}{sin(C)}=\frac{a}{sin(A)}\\\\\frac{140}{sin(20)}=\frac{a}{sin(82)}\\\\a=    \frac{140*sin (82)}{sin(20)}\\\\a=405.3\ ft

a =  distance from Ship B to the signal fire at point C
