Answer:

Dr Interest expense                    $33,500

Cr Discount on bonds payable                 $1,100

Cr Cash                                                            $32,400

Explanation:

Discount on bonds payable=$540,000-$529,000=$11,000

Amortization of discount=discount on bonds issue/period of the bond

period to maturity of the bond is  5 years *2 =10 since the bond pays interest semi-annually

Amortization =$11,000/10=$1,100

Semi-annual interest=$540,000*12%/2=$32,400

the bond semi-annual interest expense=discount amortization+interest payment

the bond semi-annual interest expense=$32,400+$1,100=$33,500

ioda

Sampling is the promotional tool in which a company lets consumers have a small sample of a product for no charge.

Sampling is a process utilized in statistical evaluation wherein a predetermined wide variety of observations are taken from a bigger populace. The method used to pattern from a bigger populace depends on the form of evaluation being accomplished, but it can encompass easy random sampling or systematic sampling.

The number one intention of sampling is to create a consultant sample, one wherein the smaller institution (sample) appropriately represents the traits of the bigger group (population). If the pattern is properly decided on, the sample can be generalizable to the populace. there are many methods to attain a sample.

There are most important forms of sampling methods – possibility and non-opportunity sampling. Chance sampling, also known as random sampling, is a form of sample selection in which randomization is used rather than planned desire.

Read the following except from a warranty. What time period is this warranty for? "This warranty is given by XYZ motors. The Zoo
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

The warranty period is for three years.

Explanation:

A warranty is a promise a buyer receives from the seller that the latter will repair or replace the product should it develop defects within a stated period. Warranties are granted with specific conditions. The universal condition is that the defects in the product are a result of the manufacturing process and not the buyers' misuse. The defect must occur within a stated period.

In the case of XYZ, the stated period is three years. However, the seller has introduced another condition of "or 30,000 miles whichever comes first." For business reasons, and from market experience, the seller expects that XYZ will use the vehicle at an average rate of 10,000 miles per year. At this rate, the warranty will last for three years. Should the buyer use the vehicle at a faster rate than this, the 30,000 miles will be exhausted earlier, which will bring the warranty to an end. If XYZ uses the vehicle at a slower or the expected rate, the warranty will last for three years.

Ace Corporation engaged Kosier, CPA, to perform a consulting engagement. While driving to Ace's office, Kosier was involved in a
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

The correct answer is B. Correct! Since Ace is not in control of the actions of Kosier (an independent contractor), Ace would  generally not be responsible for Kosier's torts.

Explanation:

An independent contractor is a person who is hired to do a specific job. It is said that she is her own boss because she controls how and where the work is done.

These people have greater freedom and only undertake to perform the specific function they agreed with the person owning a company. For example, the independent contractor agrees that he will serve clients at a 9 a.m. store. at 1 p.m. or that he will go to the meetings and prepare a report on the subject assigned to him. Outside these specific functions, the independent contractor controls how he manages his time.
