49. I figure out these kind of questions a different way than taught. At least where I am. Divide the total amount by the amount of instances of multiplication so in this it would be 6x plus the 1 that the programmer types. This gives you 7. Decide then total (343) by seven then multiply by the multiplied amount, so the secretary would multiply by 6 and the programmer by 1. You get 49 for the programmer.
