This is what the passive version of this sentence would look like:
The statue of David was sculpted by the famous artist and sculptor Michelangelo in Italy in the early 1500s.
In English, usually the word that is placed in the beginning of a sentence is the most prominent one, and the most important one as well. It is where the emphasis of the sentence is. Having this in mind, the best reason for the writer to revise this sentence to be in the passive voice is to emphasize <u>the statue.</u>

How does “Men of Honor” reflect what Lincoln called “the unfinished work?” What responsibility do we have to follow through on a
daser333 [38]

Answer:

<u>it referred to America's unfinished work to win the fight against racism</u>

Explanation:

Remember, when President Lincoln made the statement,

<em>"It is for us, the living, rather, to be dedicated here to </em><em>the unfinished work</em><em>...that this nation, under God, </em><em>shall have a new birth of freedom</em><em> — and that, government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." </em>

The "Men of Honor" movie focuses on the life of a black Navy officer (Carl Brashear ) who had to struggle with racism in the navy until he gained national recognition for his bravery.

The actual “new birth of freedom" that Lincoln envisioned was one where each citizen is treated equally and fairly by other citizens, a responsibility many want to follow.

Read the excerpt from "Code Talkers.”
kozerog [31]

The correct answers would be questions D " Did any of the Japanese or German students learn to speak Navajo" and E " What kind of code did the American Indians use during World War I".  These are the questions that could help the reader understand the military leader's fear, since if the answers are yes they did learn to speak it, and a simple code, (respectively) then it would be perfectly sane to feel apprehension at using the same code again. Options A, B and C are not relevant because they do not contribute to the subject, for example, it doesn't matter how many people spoke Navajo before World War I, what is important is how many can learn it.
