A quote from Rashida Costa (365 Days Smarter) says: “... Actions are from the heart” What this excerpt can tell us is that the actions we commit in our daily lives are provoked by the heart and that the deepest parts of our most intimate desires will shine through in the outward surface of our physical being. As human beings we are capable of displaying more that 230 emotions like love, hate, anger, envy, etc. However, how do we display these emotions? Some good examples can be found in a trustworthy book that has survived for over 3.500 years. In the Bible we can see examples of men and woman who have showed us how “actions spoke louder than words”. Their examples among many others can show us what it means to be a family person, a friend, a lover and a sincere individual.

The biblical disposition of Ruth and Naomi related the story of an Israelite family who moved to the city of Moab. After many years of living in the city Naomi’s husband died and her sons married women from Moab. But, Naomi’s son’s died unexpectedly and due to this she decides to move back to Israel. However, Ruth her daughter in law followed her and begged her to let her stay with her and even cried: “Do not urge me to leave you or to turn from following you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD punish me, and ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.” And not only did Ruth state these words with might but she was also loyal to them. After Naomi and Ruth moved to Israel Ruth tirelessly went out to the fields to search for food to provide her mother in law with and till the day of Naomi’s death Ruth was loyal and obedient to her like a daughter.

Some people may share the thoughts of author Francesco Petrarch who said “Love leads me on” others though may agree with play writer Vittorio Alfieri who mentioned: “For ‘Tis impossible hate to return with love”. These two historical quotes can have a large impact in our daily lives. Love and Hate are contradicting emotions that can affect our behavior towards people. They are not simply terms or definitions; love the same as hate impulses us to commit certain doings that can either benefit or damage both ourselves and the individual we have a relationship or connection with. For example: Due to the fact that Cain was angered and envious of his brother Abel he committed murder. Why? Because God put his favor over Abel due to the fact that he was a good and sincere man.

How can “actions speak louder than words” in today’s society? It would depend highly on the individual and the circumstances they are in. Some actions done under the influence of love, compassion, hate or sadness and can lead a person to have perplexed paths in life and gain different results. Some loving actions are found among relationships like the case of Hannah; a loving girlfriend who takes care of her partner Shane full time. The mere act of dedicating her time and energy to taking care of the person who she is closest to is a full act of devotion. In the channel SBSK Shane expresses in the video [An Interabled Love Story] “Our relationship is normal and exiting... we’re just a regular couple that has fun and gets into arguments and figures out life together” Later, Hannah adds “My love for Shane is definitely both physical and emotional. I love his personality. He’s a wonderful boyfriend” Another case is that of a 19 year old youth who risked getting emotionally involved with a disfigured 40 year old man, she expressed: “I remember having loved a man with a severe case of scoliosis. Did I ever tell that man I loved him? I did. Did I show it? More so. How? It’s very simple. When you do your best to figure out what is the Love Language your crush holds it’s easier to establish an emotional connection and therefore it gets the more harder to leave the relationship. I remember writing poems and love letters to my crush and physically express my love and physical attraction towards him. Even though our love didn’t last he knows that no words could describe all the love I felt for him because it was in the indirects and the small details where he figured that I truly was in love with him”.

What is most likely to lag behind when there is cultural change?
katen-ka-za [31]

The answer is "D"

It has been accepted that change is an inherent aspect  of any culture. No culture can remain static and there are many reasons for cultural change. We have political, economic, environmental and technological factors  that bring about or influence cultural change.

Usually, whenever technological advances enable people to engage in new behavior,  their norms and values lag behind because they are not sure what to think of such behavior.

One important example is reproduction. Change in reproductive technology such as obtaining a child through a surrogate birth, has always met a good degree of resistance because it challenges the accepted definition of parenthood and family.  Some take this  as commercializing of life and will not accept it.

Reproductive technology is now in place and is changing the culture of family and parenthood but people are still arguing about its place in society as they still hold on to their traditional values of parenthood.

50 PTS TO WHOEVER ANSWERS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

The passage explains the uses and characteristics of gargoyles in great detail and even goes as far as to describe the impression that the gargoyles give when they are perched on the edge of a cathedral.

The most useful tool to aid comprehension would, therefore, be a drawing of a gargoyle with labels that identify the parts of the gargoyle mentioned in the passage. The addition of this visual aid would help connect the very complete description in the paragraph with the actual object.
