A sealed terrarium with an inflow of heat resembles a small water cycle. The water from plants and soil evaporates due to increased temperature. This again condenses on the roof nd walls of the terrarium, and eventually, water flows back to the soil.  So, there is a constant supply of water for the growth of the plants.
