Cardiac muscle cells get all the oxygen they need from the coronary arteries. They do not gather oxygen from the blood flowing inside them but from the blood as received from the coronary arteries. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.

What happened to Bryson's heart beat and breathing rate as he pedaled uphill? Why? Please answer
elixir [45]

I am not sure because there may be more context, but here is what I am guessing the answer is.

As Bryson pedaled uphill both his heartbeat and breathing rate increased. His breathing rate increases to provide the body (more specifically, exercising muscles) with oxygen at a higher rate and his heart rate increases to deliver the oxygen (and glucose) to the respiring muscles more efficiently.

Which procedure is an attempt to correct a genetic disorder by replacing a mutated gene with a normal allele
bixtya [17]

Answer:

Gene Therapy

Explanation:

Gene therapy is an attempt to correct a genetic disorder by replacing a mutated gene with a normal allele.

Gene therapy introduces a normal copy of the gene to restore the function of the protein if a mutated gene causes a necessary protein to be faulty or missing.

Gene therapy is a process in which a new, correct version of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator gene would be placed into the cells in a person's body.
