( -20 , 14 ) and ( 30, 18)
Slope, Explanation needed please HELPPPPPP
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer: 2/25

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to find the slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

If you plug in the numbers, you get (18-14)/(30-(-20))

Solve the expression and you get 4/50 = 2/25

So your answer is 2/25

The image of the point (2, 1) under a translation is (5, -3). Find
Yanka [14]

Answer:

The coordinates of the image of the point (6,6) under the same translation is: (9, 2)

Hence, option C is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

The image of the point (2, 1) under a translation is (5, -3).

It means when we horizontally move 3 units to the RIGHT i.e. adding 3 units to the x-coordinate and vertically move 4 units DOWN i.e. subtracting 4 units from the y-coordinate of the original point (2, 1), we get the coordinates of the image (5, -3).

Thus,

The rule of translation can be formulated such as:

(x, y) → (x + 3, y - 4)

(2, 1) → (2 + 3, 1 - 4) → (5, -3)

Thus,

Under the same rule of translation, we can determine the coordinates of the image of the point (6,6):

(x, y) → (x + 3, y - 4)

(6, 6) → (6 + 3, 6 - 4) → (9, 2)

Therefore, the coordinates of the image of the point (6,6) under the same translation is: (9, 2)

Hence, option C is correct.

HELP PLEASE!!! Which of the following is not a true statement about solving two-step equations?
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]
C= two step equations require all number to be whole number in order to solve.

Here is an example that disproves that:
.5x + 8= 18
        -8 -8
.5x = 10
.5 .5

x = 20 (.5 is certainly not a whole number but I solved it anyway)
