Answer:

This is because they do not have to be different. So the 4 sides of a rectangle may, or may not be, of equal length. If they are of equal length, then THAT RECTANGLE IS A SQUARE. If the rectangle's 2 pairs of parallel sides are not of equal length then THAT RECTANGLE IS NOT A SQUARE.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you learn geometry, you learn that it is how a rectangle has not equal sides.

Answer:

Squares are defined by having all equivalent sides. Sometimes, rectangle have different lengths of side, thus not fitting the definition of a square. However, the definition of a rectangle is "an object with 2 pairs of sides parallel to eachother", therefore all squares fit the definition of a rectangle. Please mark brainliest :)

Line L has equation y = 4x - 7, and line M is parallel to line L and passes through the point (2, 15). Determine the equation of
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

A: y = 4x + 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:  Our line is parallel to this line, so it has the same slope, but a different  y-intercept, so set up the equation...

  y = 4x + b

We are given a  point (x, y) of (2, 15), so plug that in and solve for b.

 15 = 4(2) + b

    15 = 8 + b      (simplify)

        7 = b      (subtract 8 from both sides to isolate b)

So the equation of our line is  y = 4x + 7

schepotkina [342]
Given:

A rectangular piece of cloth (dimensions):

L = length of the rectangle
W = width of the rectangle

The area of the rectangle is:

A = L x W

If the cloth is cut along the diagonal, the area of one sail will be half the area of the rectangle:

 A (one sail) = 1/2 (L x W) <span />

Musya8 [376]

Answer:

Volume=1232cm Surface area=660cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume=π x r² x t

=22/7 x 7 x 7 x 8

=1232cm

Surface area=2 x π x r x (r+t)

=2 x 22/7 x 7 x (7+8)

=44 x 15

=660cm
