The Black Panther Party initially started off as an organization that was patrolling the black neighborhoods in order to protect the black people, especially from the police brutality. Very quickly though, the rhetoric changed, and the Black Panthers took an idealistic turn towards Marxism. They also started to call the African Americans to arm themselves and to make a revolution, as well as asking for releasing all African Americans from the jails, and the exemption of all drafts and sanctions.
