There are infinite possibilities:

If you start with -4 and -4 you can then ‘go’ up by any amount to one of the -4s as long as you ‘go’ down by that amount on the other side. For example if you count up by three to the first -4 to get -1, you must subtract three on the other side to get -7. So -1 and -7 also work. Using this trick, you can find the infinite values.

How much would you need to deposit in an account now in order to have $3000 in the account in 15 years? Assume the account earns
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

Principal = Total ÷ (1 + Rate)^years

That formula is found here: http://www.1728.org/compint2.htm

Principal = 3.000 / (1.03) ^ 15

Principal = 3.000 / 1.5579674166

Principal = $1,925.59

Fortninte.com had 595,760 visitors in June 2018, and 615,355 in July 2018. How many more visitors came in July than June?
Inessa [10]

Solve. Subtract July 2018 with June 2018

615355 - 595760 = 19595

19595 more people visited Fortnite's website in July than June.

hope this helps

Answer:

Part A:

The graph passes through (0,2) (1,3) (2,4).

If the graph that passes through these points represents a linear function, then the slope must be the same for any two given points. Using (0,2) and (1,3). Write in slope-intercept form, y=mx+b. y=x+2

Using (0,2) and (2,4). Write in slope-intercept form, y=mx+b. y=x+2. They are the same and in graph form, it gives us a straight line.

Since the slope is constant (the same) everywhere, the function is linear.

Part B:

A linear function is of the form y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

An example is  y=2x-3

A linear function can also be of the form ax+by=c where a, b and c are constants. An example is 2x + 4y= 3

A non-linear function contains at least one of the following,

*Product of x and y

*Trigonometric function

*Exponential functions

*Logarithmic functions

*A degree which is not equal to 1 or 0.

An example is...xy= 1 or y= sqrt. x

An example of a linear function is 1/3x = y - 3

An example of a non-linear function is y= 2/3x
