PEMDAS (right to left) (Parentheses, exponents, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtraction) or Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally is what I was taught to use.
1.[(-4)+{-2}]*(-5)^2-9; divide 8 by -4 (it is the innermost parentheses problem)
2. [(-6)]*-5^2-9; next innermost parentheses problem
3. [(-6)]*25-9; exponents
4. -150-9; multiplication
5. -159; subtraction/addition depending on how you want to look at it

Clara has a lawn in front of her house as mapped on the coordinate plane. She wants to plant a bed of flowers between the points
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

<em>Look Below In the Explanation</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Point P has coordinates of (4,4) and point Q has coordinates of (4,-4).

Since both points have the same x-coordinates we can subtract point Q's y-coordinate from point P's y-coordinate.

I will set the equation up and try and figure this part by yourself. I hope you learned what to do from previous questions that are very similar to this that I answered.

4 - ( -4) = length of the bed of flowers

Hope that helps and maybe earns a brainliest!

Have a splendid day! :^)

If the diameter of a circle is 6 inches, how long is the arc subtended by an angle measuring 70°?
yaroslaw [1]
Since the diameter of the circle is 6 inches, then the radius will be half that, or 3 inches,

\bf \textit{arc's length}\\\\&#10;s=\cfrac{r\pi \theta }{180} \quad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;r=radius\\&#10;\theta =angle~in\\&#10;\qquad degrees\\&#10;------\\&#10;r=3\\&#10;\theta =70&#10;\end{cases}\implies s=\cfrac{3\cdot \pi \cdot 70}{180}\implies s=\cfrac{7\pi }{6}
