The term "castle-in-the-air" is actually a term that means something that is imaginary and extravagant and most likely are not realized or carried out. In other words, this is similar to the term "daydream". When we use TV as <span>"castle-in-the-air", the danger for this is that people tend to view something as a reality instead of just accepting it as fantasy. Hope this helps.</span>

Circe warned Odysseus about the ___, who sat on the rocks and lured sailors to their deaths.
kodGreya [7K]

We can complete the sentence as "Circe warned Odysseus about the sirens, who sat on the rocks and lured sailors to their deaths," stated in option A.

<h3>Who were the sirens?</h3>

In the epic poem "The Odyssey," the sirens were mythological creatures much like the mermaids we often see in movies. They would sit on the rocks and sing, luring sailors to their deaths.

Circe warns Odysseus about them, so Odysseus is prepared. He has his sailors cover their ears but, since he wants to listen to the sirens' song, he does not cover his. Instead, he asks his sailors to tie him to a mast so that he can hear the sirens safely.

With the information above in mind, we can select option A as the correct answer for this question.

In the article dumped what is the best definition for the word collaborator ?
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

a)  People who work together toward a common goal.

Explanation:

In the article "Dumped" by Helen Fisher, she writes about the pain that comes with a broken heart. The biological anthropologist studies love and how it affects those involved.

In her article, she mentioned that love is<em> "an evolutionary adaptation"</em> which also has its downside. And once this love turns the opposite way, the pain and suffering it brings the darker side of human love. In her experimental technique using <em>"functional MRI"</em>, she along with other collaborators worked on determining how a brain in love acts. Here, the use of the word <em>"collaborator" </em>means other people who work alongside her to get the same goal, all having the same objective.

Who is the intended audience for Lincoln’s address? Based on the content, how does Lincoln view these different groups?
kumpel [21]
<span>First, he addresses the American public when he says, “My countrymen, one and all, think calmly and well upon this whole subject.”He also speaks to the people who are on the fence regarding secession. He says, “That there are persons in one section or another who seek to destroy the Union at all events and are glad of any pretext to do it I will neither affirm nor deny; but if there be such, I need address no word to them. To those, however, who really love the Union may I not speak?”He addresses Southerners who are threatening to secede as "fellow-countrymen": "In your hands, my dissatisfied fellow-countrymen, and not in mine, is the momentous issue of civil war.”<span>He could also be talking to other audiences, such as the international community amid the growing tension in the United States. Lincoln would want to reassure allies abroad of his authority as the new president.</span></span>
