Substitution- a mutation where one base pair is replaced by another base pair

Insertion-Change the number of DNA bases in a gene by adding a piece of DNA. if this is done then the protein made by the gene may not function

Deletion-a DNA Molecule not copied during the replication process. It can be as small as a single nucleotide or as big as an entire chromosome. The absence of this molecule can cause a genetic disease
