Mass is  Matter, material, or a large quantity; a sum quantity or large in number.
Weight is the force on an object due to the gravitational attraction between it and the Earth (or whatever astronomical object it is primarily influenced by). An object used to make something heavier. A standardized block of metal used in a balance to measure the mass of another object.

The law/principle that states that younger form over older layers is
Allisa [31]

Answer:

The law of superposition

Explanation:

The law of superposition is an axiom and a basic principle of sedimentary stratigraphy, it explains that the layers of sediment are deposited in a temporal sequence, in which the oldest are in a lower position than the most recent. Therefore, if there has been no deformation, the lower layers were deposited before the ones above, so they are older.

During the process of _____, two rails or sides break apart and pair up with RNA nucleotides, assembling mRNA.
pav-90 [236]

Answer: The correct answer for the fill in the blank is- Transcription.

Transcription is a genetic process by which DNA ( deoxyribonucleic acid) is converted into mRNA ( messenger RNA) with the help of enzyme RNA polymerase.

During this process, the two strands of DNA are first separated so that the template DNA ( that is having polarity 3' to 5') is exposed.

Using the template strand, RNA polymerase adds the RNA nucleotides according to the Watson and Crick base pairing and thus mRNA transcript is assembled.
