Dependent states are states which are not fully sovereign and are still under the main state while Allied states are those which are fully sovereign and not under, politically, the main state. The main state and the allied states have aligned their goals to benefit each other.

Taxation in the colonies resulted in raging in America as colonist grew tired of paying the taxes. Many of the colonists remain divided during the revolution because of economic and political reasons. Those who supported independence were the Patriots, and those who remained against the war were the Loyalists. The patriots carried fight because they no longer wanted to suffer. Whereas, the Loyalist wanted peaceful reconciliation with the British Government because of economic reasons.
