A scanning electron microscope provides much better resolution than a compound light microscope.

Explanation:

The electron microscope uses a beam of electrons and heavy particle like gold for resolution. A compound light microscope works by using light beams and lenses.

The resolution of electron microscope is smaller then the compound microscope. This means that more smaller parts of the specimen can be seen by the electron microscope.

The magnification power of electron microscope is far better then the compound microscope. Hence, a more bigger image can bee seen through the electron microscope.
