Given kevin has no poems to start, and writes three new poems each day While

Anita has four poems to start, and writes two new poems each day.

Total number of poems on Day 1 by Kevin =3

Total number of poems on day 1 by Anita = 4+2=6

Total number of poems on Day 2 by Kevin =3+3=6

Total number of poems on Day 2 by Anita =6+2=8

Total number of poems on Day 3 by Kevin 6+3=9

Total number of poems on Day 3 by Anita =8+2=10

Total number of poems on Day 4 by Kevin=9+3=12

Total number of poems on Day 4 by Anita =10+2=12

On day 4 they will have same number of poems .

Option (D) 4 days is the right answer.

the length of a rectangle is 3 more than twice the width.the perimeter of the rectangle is 42.find the dimension
fredd [130]

Answer:

The dimensions are <u>15 x 6</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Length (L)       Width (W)

Perimeter = (W x 2) + (L x 2)

L = (W x 2) + 3

L x 2 = (W x 4) + 6

42 - 6 = 36

36 ÷ 6 = 6

6 x 2 + 3 = 15

<u>Perimeter = (6 x 2) + (15 x 2) = 42</u>

The table shows the number of games required to finish the last 50 World Series. What was the average length of a World Series?
Andreas93 [3]
We are given with the number of games and their frequency. To get the average length of a World Series, we need to take the weighted average of the data.
Multiply the number of games by the frequency. Add the all the values and divided by the total frequency
So,
<span>[4 (14) + 5 (13) + 6 (9) + 7 (14)] / (14 + 13 + 9 + 14) = 5.46

a department store buys 500 shirts at the cost of $8,000 and sells them at a selling price of $20 each. find the percent markup
kati45 [8]

Answer:

<em>62.5%</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

The store buys 500 shirts for $8,000.

The store bought each shirt for $8,000/250 = $32.

The markup on each shirt is $20. The percent markup is the percent that $20 is of $32. In other words, what percent is $20 out of $32?

To find what percent a part is of a whole, divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100.

percent markup = $20/$32 * 100 = 62.5%
