The significance of Cyrus' rule lies in the fact that he developed a vast empire, allowed his subject to follow their rituals and local customs.

Cyrus commonly known as Cyrus the great was the king-emperor of Persia. The Persian empire under him was the largest empire (2000 miles long) of the time. Cyrus respected the cultures and beliefs of the lands he conquered. This grew a very successful standard for centralized administration and building a management working to the support and profit of its citizens. Cyrus is well known for his accomplishments in human rights, politics, military tactics, as well as his influence on both Eastern and Western civilization.
