You usually become mute because you were born with or developed a speech problem including the throat, lungs, mouth, etc. Becoming mute can develop after a tragic accident, injury, or desese. You can be born mute. Hope this helped and remember to mark me brainliest!

It can be any. Some are born with it. Some do happen over age. And a lot of the time it can happen after an event to the brain.
