6 0

Answer:

The y-intercept of the line graphed on grid (-2,7) and (6,1) is 5  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The points on the grid is (-2,7) and (6,1)

So, The points as ( x_1 , y_1 ) = ( - 2 , 7 )

And  ( x_2 , y_2 ) = ( 6 , 1 )

Let The slope for the given points on grid = m

So, The value of m can be find as

m = \dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

substitute the points

So, m = \dfrac{1-7}{6-(-2)}

I.e m = \dfrac{1-7}{6+2}

Or, m = \dfrac{-8}{8}

So, slope = m = - 1

Now, equation of line with slope points as

y - y_1 = m × (x - x_1 )

Or, y - 7 = ( -1 ) × (x - ( - 2) )

or, y - 7 = ( -1 ) × ( x + 2 )

or, y - 7 = - x - 2

or, y = - x - 2 + 7

∴  y = - x + 5

So, line equation is y = - x + 5

So, comparing with line equation of  y = m x + c

where m is the slope of line , and c is the y-intercept

So, for the given points the y-intercept is 5

Hence The y-intercept of the line graphed on grid (-2,7) and (6,1) is 5  . Answer

Gias gross annual salary is 46,392. what is the recommended maximum monthly rent she should pay?
jeyben [28]
The maximum monthly rent that she should pay is 2,784.
Solution:
1,082 x 12 months = 12,984
1,648 x 12 months = 19,776
1,933 x 12 months = 23,196
2,784 x 12 months = 33,408

Since her annual salary is 46,392, she can still afford to pay the rent for 2,784 per month, which equals to 33,408 annually.
