The Religion in Persia before it got conquered by the Abbasid Empire and it was one of the first Monotheistic (Single-God) Religions in the World and its believers worshipped fire through which they got a connection with God. It is on its verge of dying out. And No, It is not a Pre-Islamic Religion, Zoroastrianism was created way before Islam, about 2000 years before Islam. When Persia Became Muslim, the shahs actually started going after the Zoroastrians.
