I believe the example is Estaban, who was born into a family with power and is now considered part of the highest group based on his ascribed status
In caste system, the value that individual had within the society is derived from the status/occupation that they had rather than their virtues.
People who born in family with power would most likely able to obtain good occupation/status which made them palced in highest caste group.
