I have read this story:) 
its a very good story. 
And the answer is 
1)  The plot of “The Most Dangerous Game” revolves around two vain hunters and the competition between them.

Throughout the entire story it was mostly about The general and Rainsford having a competition to the death. Accept The general was never supposed to be killed... To be honest it was a very unfair game. 
But even though the pressure and danger was huge, Rainsford won the game anyways.
