Sara and juan conducted an experiment to test which soil would be best for growing plants. they planted bean seeds in four pots
Butoxors [25]
Heyo, first off the dependent variable is the variable you measure at the end of the experiment, so basically the outcome of the experiment.

Sara and Juan used the four different types of soils which was considered as the independent variable. The independent variable is the variable you change at the beginning of the experiment.

The dependent variable of the experiment which was measured last was seed germination, and plant growth.

What happens to pyruvate molecules formed in glycolysis in the absence of oxygen?
Mars2501 [29]
Absence of oxygen means anaerobic respiration ; which has 2 different pathways.

First Pathway ; Alcoholic fermentation which takes place in yeast.

Pyruvate is decarboxylated into ethanal releasing co2 as waste product.
Ethanal is toxic , so its reduced by help of NADH to ethanol in presence of alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme , and Free NAD is released to continue glycolysis.

2) The second pathway is Lactic fermentation which takes place in mammalian muscles.

Pyruvate accepts hydrogen and is converted to lactate by the help of enzyme lactate dehydrogenase , again free NAD is released to continue glycolysis.

Hope I made it clear enough :)

Brine shrimp live in salt water, but the level of salt in the water where they reside can differ dramatically from day to day or
Naily [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is "excretes; hypotonic; absorbs, hypertonic".

Explanation:

Cell's homeostasis is only conserved in an isotonic solution, since cells that are in an hypertonic solution (high salt concentration) tend to loss water, and in hypotonic solution (low salt concentration) tend to absorb water. Brine shrimp lives in waters that are both, hypertonic and hypotonic and has adapted to overcome this issue by excreting and absorbing salt across its gills. In very high salt concentrations, a brine shrimp "excretes" salt across its gills and maintains an internal salt concentration that is "hypotonic" relative to the water where it lives. In lower salt concentrations, a brine shrimp "absorbs" salt water across its gills and maintains an internal salt concentration that is "hypertonic" relative to the water where it lives.

Hoochie [10]
It is an example of uneasiness. It is because being anxious is a way of having to be worried to a specific thing or problem in which when a particular person is worried, he or she is likely feeling anxious as he or she seeks for something that will relieve his or her worries.
