They did not include the constraint for y ≤x+3 on the graph.

See attached picture with added constraint.

Using the 4 points that are given as the solution on the graph, replace t he x and Y in the original equation to solve and see which is the greater value.

Point (0,3) P = -0 +3(3) = 0+9 = 9

Point (1,4) P = -1 + 3(4) = -1 +12 = 11

Point (0,0) P = -0 + 3(0) = 0 + 0 = 0

Point (3,0) P = -3 + 3(0) = -3 + 0 = -3

The correct solution to maximize P is (1,4)

In 1935, there were 15,295 banks in the United States. In 2003 there were 9,182 banks. What is the percent of the change? Is it
Sati [7]
If it goes from a higher number to a lower number it is a decrease.

(15,295 - 9182) / 15295....x 100
6113 / 15295 = 0.399....x 100 = 39.9% decrease

2. 7x = 5 + 5x <br> solve
Tresset [83]

Answer:

x = 2\frac{1}{2} or \frac{5}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract 5x from both sides. This leaves us with 2x = 5. Now divide both sides by 2 to isolate x. If you want an improper fraction you can stop at x = \frac{5}{2}. If you want a mixed number you will have x = 2\frac{1}{2}.

when a pen is sold at a discount of 15%.There is a gain of rs 10.But if it is sold at 25% discount there is a loss of rs 2.Find
Svetradugi [14.3K]

When a pen is sold at a discount of 15% there is a gain of rs 10

When the pen is sold at 25% discount there is a loss of rs 2

Therefore the mark price of the pen can be calculated as follows

15% = c.p + 10 rs

25 % = c.p - 2 rs

25%-15% = 10 rs +2 rs

10% = 12 rs

10/100 = 12 rs

0.1= 12 rs

12/0.1

= 120 rs

Hence the mark price of the pen is 120 rs

The mean midday temperature recorded in June in a city in South California is 36ºC, and the standard deviation is 3ºC.
natulia [17]

mean = 36

sd = 3

P( 39 < x < 42) = P(( 39 - 36) / 3 < Z < ( 42 - 36) / 3)

P(3/3 <z<6/3)
 P( 1 < Z < 2) = P( x < 2) - P( x < 1) = 0.9772 - 0.8413 = 0.1359
(need to use the normal probability table to get the decimal numbers)

June has 30 days

 0.1359*30 = 4.0777 days, round to 4 days

Keenan currently does a total of 888 pushups each day. He plans to increase the number of pushups he does each day by 222 pushup
zmey [24]

Answer:

222x + 888 = 303030

Step-by-step explanation:

If he raises the amount of push-ups he does by 222, then we can put the x with it, which represents the number of days. Since we are adding onto the 888 a day we can put that without the variable. If you were to solve this equation you would get the amount of days it would take to reach 303030 push-ups a day.

Hope this helps!
