Unit means one.

The fractions with numerator is one and the denominator is any positive integer. Such fractions are called unit fractions.

It is also defined as the reciprocal of the any positive integers.

Example of the unit fractions are

\frac{1}{2},  \frac{1}{10}, \frac{1}{50}, \frac{1}{100}, . . .

The fraction with numerator is any number other one is called

the non-unit fractions.

Example of the non-unit fractions are

\frac{2}{3},  \frac{3}{7}, \frac{8}{50}, \frac{9}{10}, . . .

Given that the product of two positive integers is 44, and their least common multiple is 22, what is their greatest common divi
swat32

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

For any positive numbers a,b we always have the following identity:

a\cdot b=gcd(a,b)\cdot lcm(a,b)

(gcd(a,b) denotes the greatest common divisor between a and b, and lcm(a,b) denotes the least common multiple between a and b)

In our case, we are given that a\cdot b = 44 and that lcm(a,b)=22. Plugging that in into our identity, we get:

44=gcd(a,b)\cdot 22

And so solving for gcd(a,b):

gcd(a,b)=\frac{44}{22}=2

Linear equations-Transposition of formulae Why does this turn into this
katen-ka-za [31]
That's not correct. In general, you would have

x^2=\dfrac5{a^2}\implies\sqrt{x^2}=\sqrt{\dfrac5{a^2}}\implies |x|=\dfrac{\sqrt5}{\sqrt{a^2}}\implies |x|=\dfrac{\sqrt5}{|a|}

Assuming a>0, you have |a|=a, so this turns into

|x|=\dfrac{\sqrt5}a\implies x=\pm\dfrac{\sqrt5}a
