Add 3 to both sides.

2x = 14

Divide by 2.

x = 7

-3 + 3 + 2x = 11 + 3
-3 + 3 = 0
0 + 2x = 11 + 3
2x = 11 + 3

11 + 3 = 14
2x = 14

x=7 :)
