Answer:

Intervention

Explanation:

Based on everything that has been described it seems that Lamar is conducting the Intervention stage of Organizational Development. This stage focuses on performing structured activities with individual or various members of a team in order to improve functionality and teamwork, which in term increases work performance. Which it seems that this is exactly what Lamar is doing by working with members of the cross-functional team.

Based on this description, Lamar is conducting organizational development, more precisely Lamar is in the intervention phase.

Further explanation

Intervention is to determine what methods should be used to plan improvements based on the problems found in the process of diagnosis and giving feedback. Intervention means the participation of the client and consultant together to plan the repair process based on the problems encountered in the diagnostic process.

The intervention planning stage must be followed by a series of concepts that are interconnected with each other. Namely, among others, consisting of theories, models and the conceptual framework of the reference.

Criteria for effective intervention.

The criteria for an effective intervention include the existence of true and useful information, freedom of choice, and attachment inside.

  1. With true and useful information it is intended that all material information about organizational problems obtained during the diagnosis process. The information material is not written by a consultant or client but actually happens and applies significantly to the organization's activities.
  2. By freedom of choice, it is intended that the place of making a decision lies in the position of the client. Clients are completely free to choose alternatives in making decisions. It does not depend on consultants. There is no action or alternative action that comes automatically, neatly arranged to stay used, or forced to use.
  3. The attachment is intended to emphasize that the client has a responsibility to remain bound to the implementation of the plan or decision that has been made.

Intervention Planning

There are at least three basic considerations in planning intervention activities:

  • Client readiness to make changes
  • The certainty that these changes are still within the limits of the power and authority of the organization
  • The readiness of internal resources to help manage, monitor and maintain the change process.

SECOND METHOD:

Purchase 11,760 debit

Accounts Payable 11,760 credit

--to record purchase--

Accounts Payable 1,176 debit

Returns&Allowance 1,176 credit

--to record returned goods--

-to record payment within--

interst expense 216 debit

  account payable 216 credit

--to record interest incurred--

Explanation:

As we use periodic system we calculate the inventory and COGS at the end of the period so we use purchase and returns accounts rather than adjusting inventories in every transactions.

In the second method we use itnerest expense when the discount is loss.

interest incurred for the period:

(12,000 - 1,200) x 2% = 216

The secodn purchase at the end of the monthcan be paid within discount period therefore, we do not recognize interest expense yet.

attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Cost saving per zipper

= External price - Agreed transfer price

= $3.50 - $3.25

= $0.25

Total cost saving

= $0.95 x 90,000 zippers

= $85,500

Explanation:

In this case, we need to calculate the saving per zipper which is external price minus agreed transfer price. Then, we will multiply the saving per zipper by the quantity of zipper required by LeatherStuff, which is 90,000 zippers.
