Answer:

  y = √(900 -x²); see below for a graph

Step-by-step explanation:

The high point (30 ft) is the radius of the circle, so the equation is ...

  x² +y² = 30²

Subtract the x-term and take the square root to find y.

  y² = 30² -x²

  y = √(30² -x²) = √(900 -x²)

The graph is shown in the attachment.

<em>Comment on "how that website works"</em>

We don't know what web site you're referring to, but the one I like is Desmos. It only takes a few minutes to learn to graph the equation here.

You don't even need to solve for y to get the desired graph. You can simply specify that y ≥ 0.

ANSWER

165.6 \degree

EXPLANATION

The measure of arc AC corresponds to 22% + 24%=46%

The complete angle of the circle is 360°.

Therefore the measure of arc AC is

=  \frac{46}{100}  \times 360

This simplifies to

165.6 \degree

The correct answer is A.

Answer:

x=2; y=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello,

(1) 6x+7y=5

(2) 2x-3y=7

We multiply equation (2) by 3, it gives

6x-9y=21 and we subtract from (1)

6x-9y-6x-7y=-16y=21-5=16

So y = -1

we replace in (1) 6x-7=5 <=> 6x=7+5=12 <=> x =12/6=2

thanks

I need the parent function and the transformation with some explanation, thank you.
True [87]

Answer:

  • parent: y = x²
  • transformed: y = -3x² +4

Step-by-step explanation:

You have correctly recognized that the function is quadratic, so has parent function y = x².

__

You may notice that the function drops by 3 units when x increases or decreases by 1 unit from the vertex. That factor (-3) is the vertical scale factor in the transformed function ...

  f(x) = a(x -h)² +k

where "a" is the vertical scale factor and (h, k) is the location of the vertex of the transformed function.

We note that the graphed function has its vertex at (h, k) = (0, 4), so the complete transformed function with a=-3, h=0, k=4 is ...

  f(x) = -3x² +4
