Lipids differ from carbohydrates the following ways: lipids are not soluble in water and their hydrogen-oxygen ratio is different. Correct answer: B&D. Lipids are diverse group of organic compounds including fats, oils, hormones.. They are also made of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon like the carbohydrates. However, lipids do not readily combine with water. Some fats are solid (body fat), some are liquid (oils on our skin). The hydrogen-oxygen ratio is also different: In carbohydrates the C:H:O is 1:2:1 (one carbon ,two hydrogen and one oxygen), while in lipids the components are the same but the ratio is less for oxygen, so it is 1:2:less than one for C:H:O.

When a child's bone is fractured, growth may be stimulated at the epiphyseal plate. what problems might this extra growth cause
ICE Princess25 [194]
Well because the human body was designed to be symmetrical, If this were to happen the child would live until the body compensates, with an uneven gait. This uneven gait can affect the curvature of the spine if it goes on long enough causing exaggerated curvatures, called Scoliosis.

Here is an interesting fact though, a fracture through the epiphyseal plate of developing children when broken can actually stop growth of the bone causing almost the exact same thing.
