Well (x, y)→(−x, y) means it's reflected off the y-axis(You can experiment this with random points on a graph)
(x, y)→(x−1, y+2) means that every point is moved to the left by 1 and up by 2, in other words, the triangle is translated left 1 up 2.
Since the only thing that effects congruency is dilation(rotation, translation, and reflection only move the shape, not change it), The new triangle should equal the old one.
Thus we would get the first choice

Mai will rent a car for the weekend. She can choose one of two plans. The first plan has an initial fee of $59.96 and costs an a
juin [17]

Answer:

600 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

So basically we can write both plans as linear functions:

F(x) = $59.96+$0.14 . x

S(x) = $71.96+$0.12 . x

Where F(x) is the first plan, S(x) is the second one and X are the miles driven.

To know how many miles does Mai need to drive for the two plans to cost the same, we equalize both equations and isolate x.

F(x) = S (x)

$59.96+$0.14.x = $71.96+$0.12.x \\0.14x-0.12x=71.96-59.96\\0.02x=12\\x=12 : 0.02\\x= 600

Mai has to drive 600 miles for the two plans to cost the same-

21. The difference between two numbers is 29. If five times the smaller is subtracted from twice the larger,
Ymorist [56]

Answer: 48

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to write a system of equations:

The difference between two numbers is 29. Difference means one number (y) minus another number (x) equals 29.

y-x =29

If five times the smaller ( 5 times x , x is the smaller number because is the number to subtract) is subtracted from twice the larger, (2y)

The result will be one

2y-5x =1

Now, we have to multiply the first equation by 2, and subtract the second equation to the first one:

2y -2x = 58

-

2y-5x =1

__________

3x =57

Solve for x:

x =57/3 =19

Replacing the value of x on any equation:

y-x =29

y-19 =29

y = 29+19 = 48

48 (y)> 19(x)
