Answer: Option C

Explanation:

Manufacturing costs are the costs which are involved in the production of the goods. It excludes the direct materials and the direct labor as these factors are not only factors of production but used for other work in the organisation.

The indirect materials used are also included in this overhead which cannot be traced easily. Some of the manufacturing costs are maintenance, repairs on production, heat light, property tax, depreciation and insurance on manufacturing facilities. These costs are also called as factory overhead and factory burden.

Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer: By the end of the year I would be worst off

Explanation: This is because my savings would shrink ,although an interest is paid on the fixed account, the interest is not increasing at the rate at which the inflation is growing.

At any time savings don’t increase at the same rate as inflation, the owner of the fixed savings account will effectively lose money.

This is because with an increase in inflation comes a reduction in the buying power of an individual.

John worked 43 hours last week. His hourly rate is $9.00. He has the following deductions taken from his pay: Social Security ta
DochEvi [55]

Net pay is calculated by subtracting deductions from Net Pay.

In this case:

Gross Pay is 40 hours X $9/hr (regular pay) PLUS 3 hours X (13.50 -- 1.5 times the normal pay) for overtime

Once you have Gross Pay, you multiply that by the percentages given for the deductions and subtract that total from Gross Pay.

One note, in this case, federal taxes are not withheld from the amount given to 401(k). So to figure the taxes you would:

(Gross Pay - 401(K) contribution) X 10%

Gross Pay - deductions = net pay

Schuepfer Inc. bases its selling and administrative expense budget on budgeted unit sales. The sales budget shows 3,600 units ar
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

$45,520

Explanation:

Given that

Sales budget = 3,600 units

Variable selling and administrative expense = $4.10

Fixed selling and administrative expenses = $35,860

Depreciation expenses = $5,100

The computation of selling and administrative expenses is shown below:-

= Variable selling and administrative expenses + (Fixed selling and administrative expenses - Depreciation expenses)

= (3,600 unit × $4.10) + ($35,860 - $5,100)

= $14,760 + $30,760

= $45,520

Parido Corporation has two manufacturing departments--Casting and Assembly. The company used the following data at the beginning
Ivan

Answer:

Allocated MOH= $26,372

Explanation:

First, we need to calculate the predetermined overhead rate:

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= total estimated overhead costs for the period/ total amount of allocation base

Total fixed overhead= 48,200

Total variable overhead= (1.9*8,000) + (3*2,000)= $21,200

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= (48,200 + 21,200) / 10,000

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= $6.94 per machine hour

Now, we can allocate overhead to Job H:

Allocated MOH= Estimated manufacturing overhead rate* Actual amount of allocation base

Allocated MOH= 6.94*(2,600 + 1,200)

Allocated MOH= $26,372
