Answer:

65 , 65 , 59

Step-by-step explanation:

The average number of points scored for three games was 63 points.

suppose ,

(x+y+z)/3=63.......(1)

First two games they scored the same number of points

so, x=y........(2)

which was 6 points more than they scored in the third game

so,  x=6+z........(3)

FROM equation (1)=>

(x+y+z)/3=63

=>(x+x+z)/3=63             [as, x=y]

=>[2x+z] /3 =63

=>[2(6+z)+z] / 3= 63     [as, x=6+z ]

=>(12+2z+z)  = 63 . 3    [multiplied by 3 on both side]

=>12+3z =189

=>3z=189-12

=>3z=177

=>z=59

then,

x=6+z             [FROM equation (3)]

x=6+59            [as, z=59]

x=65

then,

x=y                    [FROM equation (2)]

y=65                  [as, x=65]

Answer:

3rd game: 59 The other 2 games 65 each

Step-by-step explanation:

(x+6)+(x+6)+x:3=63

Multiply all by 3

3x+12=189

3x= 177

x=59  (3rd=59    The other 2      65 each

59+65+65=189

189/3=63

SVEN [57.7K]

The inequality that can be used to represents all possible combinations of x, the number of hamburgers and y, the number of briskets that will be cooked is 5y + 0.25x ≤ 150

Given:

pounds of brisket = 5 lb

Pounds of hamburger = 0.25 lb

Total pounds of briskets and hamburgers = no more than 150 lb

number of hamburgers = x

number of briskets = y

No more than in inequality = (≤)

The inequality:

5y + 0.25x ≤ 150

Therefore, inequality that can be used to represents all possible combinations of x, the number of hamburgers and y, the number of briskets that will be cooked is 5y + 0.25x ≤ 150

Consider the given function and the given interval. f\(x\) = (x - 7)**2 text(, ) [5 text(, ) 11] (a) Find the average value fave
Jet001 [13]

a. f has an average value on [5, 11] of

f_{\rm ave}=\displaystyle\frac1{11-5}\int_5^{11}(x-7)^2\,\mathrm dx=\frac{(x-7)^3}{18}\bigg|_5^{11}=\frac{4^3-(-2)^3}{18}=4

b. The mean value theorem guarantees the existence of c\in(5,11) such that f(c)=f_{\rm ave}. This happens for

(c-7)^2=4\implies c-7=\pm2\implies c=9\text{ or }c=5

This is an example of an arithmetic series: 6 + 8 + 10 + 12 + . . . + (4 + 2n) + . . .
nasty-shy [4]

True. A series is arithmetic if its terms come from an arithmetic sequence.

And a sequence is said to be arithmetic any of its two consecutive terms differ by a fixed difference, common to any consecutive pair.

As you can see, in this case, all terms differ by 2, so the sequence

6,\ 8,\ 10,\ 12,\ \ldots,\ 4+2n

is arithmetic, and thus the series

6 + 8 + 10 + 12 + \ldots + (4+2n)

is arithmetic as well.

3pi/4 is 135 in degrees.  A 135-degree angle lies in quadrant 2.  In quadrant 2, the x values are negative and the y values are positive.
