Answer:

The population in the study are adults over 18 years.

Explanation:

The population in a research work is the entire group of people with specific characteristics that the researcher wishes to study. The population is usually so large that sometimes, it would be very difficult to study all of it. So, most times, the researcher resorts to taking a sample from the entire population and generalizing the result of the findings.

In the study above, the researcher wishes to measure the depression among adults over 18 years. This is the population, which is so large because there are many adults over 18 years. So, the researcher makes his work easier by taking samples from students in your class.

What impact does propaganda have on people?
Andrew [12]

Answer: propaganda is based on supposition of malleability of human nature. In late 19th century there were many theories (psychology of masses, i.e.Gustav Le Bon or Italian sociology of elites, i.e. Vilfredo Pareto, Mosca etc etc.) which propounded idea of malleabilty of human nature and human psyche. The same can be said about psychoanalysis. The result of that was use of propaganda in 1930s and 1940s (press, radio), establishmemt of ministries of propaganda etc etc. The impact was only short-lived because the intention was to monopolize public space, immunize some social theories and produce closed society.

Explanation: propaganda contradicts idea of democracy. Democracy requires plurality of thoughts, ideas, patterns, behaviour, attitudes, free circulation of all that. Democracy requires open society.

___________ as a correctional facility reserved for those inmates who have extensive records of misconduct in maximum-security p
VikaD [51]

Answer:

Supermax

Explanation:

Supermax is a term used for those prisons which have the top criminals. Within the US territory, there is a federal maximum security prison located in Florence, Colorado where solitary confinement or "lockdown" is the treatment for those criminals.

The prisoners are isolated in a way that their location in a cell involves a very high level of security and prevents them from escaping or revolting.

There are further reasons for isolating for periods of 22 hours per day the inmates.

It is believed that effective and safe management of prison population will be ensured and still some major organizations like Amnesty International criticize the "effectiveness of the model" since a Supermax is an extremely isolated environment where almost no human contact takes place.

The questioned method of treating humans in these conditions still is very debatable among punitory systems for their social implications.
