Greek and Roman philosophers contributed to the theory of evolution when they agreed that "all living things are related".

The main idea behind evolution is that one organism lead to the creation of another which in simple words can be summed up as the answer above. The main individual to concoct any hypothesis close to Darwinian evolution was Anixamender of Miletus who composed a broad sonnet, now lost, depicting a characteristic way to deal with the production of living creatures instead of a godly one. He contended that the world started in a primordial void, apeiron, which was an uncertain substance. He additionally contended that at one moment the “man” didn't exist, yet changed after some time from other organisms to human.

Why did portugal build trade forts on the west african coast, rather than go into the interior to trade?
siniylev [52]
Portugal created trade forts along the coast rather than inland because their goal was to control trade routes. They were not looking to build and control a land empire. They were after the route needed to gain access to the East Indies, India, and China. All they needed to control was the coastal area.
