Answer:

Left to right and left again.

Explanation:

Before answering the question, let us check one or more things starting from the meaning of intersection.

MEANING OF INTERSECTION: In traffic, a place where two or more roads meet is known as an INTERSECTION.

TYPES OF INTERSECTION: there are three types of of intersection, they are; T-intersection, 3-way intersection and Y intersection.

All of the three types of intentions have three branches but for the T-intersection, one of its three branches is a minor road connecting to a main road forming a 'T' shaped symbol.

Back to the question, Before entering an intersection, the safest searching process is to search from left and then to the left. Then, to make sure that one is 99.8 percent alright, one has to check the left again. Like left-right-left manner.

The research error described above is an example of selection bias.

Selection bias takes place when, from a population of interest, a group of individuals is selected in order to construct a sample but without a proper randomization. The result is a sample which is not representative of the underlying population.

According to the example, the target population of the research comprises all students but the sample only includes boys. Hence, selection has not been random because it followed a gender criteria, and the results obtained using it cannot be applicable to the whole population because they are affected by a selection bias.
