Racial discrimination against Jews in lands controlled by the Nazis was not only rampant, but supported by the government. After repeated and prolonged harassment and abuse from the Nazis, Jews were piled into trains by the thousands and sent to concentration camps. As Jews were forced into the camps, they were stripped of their belongings, and clothes. Wedding bands were wrung from their hands, and even gold teeth were pulled from their mouths.
