The major downfall of the article of confederation was simply weakness. the federal government under the articles was to weak to enforce their laws and therefore had no power the continental congress had to borrow money that’s why :)

In the workhouses, the immigrants are abused and suffer from racism against them from other ethic groups which stood above them. They worked non-stop and those that don't know english were shunned by all others in the workhouses.
